So I don't have any idea how they taste yet since they're still in the oven (yes

I'm baking at 11:47 at night just go with it) but I am trying out this no carb

bake mix. It's called carborite vanilla bake mix and it has per 28 grams of mix,

1g fat, 0g carbs and 22g protein. Now I know it's a lot of protein but I am

making cookies at the moment with cream and butter and the end product has

almost 0 carbs. There will be per cookie .6 of a carb. I'm thinking of making

" ice cream sandwiches " with the oil and cream ice cream or even the eggnog

frozen and whipped. who knows. Anyway, thought I'd put it out there.

Be really careful with the low carb mixes especially if you don't have 100%

sz control. We have lost sz control many times in using the low carb products.

I hope your child can have them and be luckier than we are.

Hi

Sorry reading my mail haphazardly hear but are you the mom who said her

little one wouldn't spill ketones?? If so, I wouldn't be trying the low

carb/no carb foods out there right now. Not until you've established

good ketosis. If I have the wrong person, just ignore me :)

Its only Thursday morning but its already been a looong week :)

I heard about that show I wish I would have seen it. I heard they were

working on it at the FDA but as of now there is not adequate regulations for

food

labeling of low carb products.

That really stinks for people like us who need this diet for more than weight

loss.

Recently, there was a program on one of those news shows...perhaps 20/20. It was

on the low carb craze, basically the Atkins diet. They mentioned how a lot of

the low carb products weren't really low carb at all. They tested products and

food from restaurants deemed " low carb/no carb " plates. In most cases, the

products had at least 25% more carbs than listed.....even on the packaged

products. The news story was informative but failed to acknowledge keto kids and

how this could be dangerous to them. They basically just focused on how it could

ruin your low carb diet if not careful.
