Mon son has had 10 fits tonight so at least they decided to put him on

phenobarbital to try because nothing works...We follow the diet and I hope it

will be better for him soon because I'm very tired and very sad.

I was wondering if homeopatic medecine is ok with the K diet? Thanks to tell

me

We have already started valproate and ph has been taking topamax

for quite a few months.So I guess we have to watch him carefully now

Carolyn, I just wanted to make sure they put your son on a pill form of

Phenobarbital, not a liquid form. Many if not all forms of Phenobarbital

have sugar in them. I know it may be a silly question, but something's

it gets overlooked.

They tried to put Hannah on the sugar filled version of phenobarbital. I

couldn't believe the insurance company would pay for the sugar stuff and not the

straight liquid! I had to fight but eventually, I got them to ok the IV bottles

of pheno. It is a 65mg/ml. I draw it out of the bottle with a syringe and put it

in her formula. It was a battle getting it approved though, but it works well.

She takes such a small dosage that after crushing the pills and splitting them

into quarters, the pills just didn't allow for an accurate measurement.

Our daughter has been on the keto diet (closer to Atkins now) for over 2

years. We have used some homeopathy all throughout the diet. Currently our

daughter takes melatonin every night to aid her in going to sleep. Also, we

give her GABA every night to help her rest easier throughout the entire

night. In the past we have used digestive enzymes to help digest her food

better, and given her L-carnitine to help her break down the long-chain

triglycerides more efficiently and produce better ketones. Various member

on this list are using homeopathy. Whenever anyone tries something using

homeopathy that helps their child and shares it with this group, I am very

interested. The homeopathy that we use came from reading about it on this

list. In my opinion the ketogenic diet is a form of homeopathy.

I've just checked in hospital ant aël is on a pill form of phenobarbital

so it's ok?

They gave him calcium today ant it's with saccharose!!!! 2500 mg per dose!!!!I

think once at home I'll find calcium sugar free!

ones and generalized, it's take first eyes and after complete body.

I don't know Pf Aicardi , where is he in France, I'm from the South but I've

been to Paris to see others doctors but they don't know about my son's

disease....and they can't stabilised seizures neither.

Hi Cathleen,

I don't know where in France Prof Aicardi is in France, he has written many

books on epilpepsy.Perhaps you can search the internet or hospitals or ask

your Dr to track him down.Sorry I cannot find him, he flew to GReat Ormond St

to

see us and they did not tell us where in France he works.Your Dr should be

able to track him down , he must be registered at a French hospital.
