Guest guest
Good morning or afternoon, One my docs likes to dictate " ELAP " , and I have been interpreting it as " exploratory laparotomy (or laparoscopy) " , but she just dictated " ELAP TAH " , which doesn't quite fit. I'm thinking she means " laparoscopically-assisted total abdominal hysterectomy " , but " ELAP " can't stand for " laparoscopically-assisted " no matter how hard I try. Has anybody else come across this configuration? Am I way off base? I can't find ELAP in any of my references, and Googling brings up lots of hits for some kind of music.
