Guest guest
Hello- I am wondering if anyone knows about any other GF beer other than Lakefront Brewery here in Wisconsin (It's called New Grist)? My husband who was just diagnosed 6 months ago really misses beer and New Grist is just ok he says. I thought Bard's beer was going to start production again after they had problems with beer bottles exploding. The company is supposed to be located now in California and starting up production again. Anyone in Socal or Nocal know anything?? By the way cheese curds from Mullins cheese near Wausau, WI are fantastic and they squeek- you can get them warm!! Thanks- Yahoo! Music Unlimited - Access over 1 million songs. Try it free. Guest guest
Bard's is back in production. I've been able to locate some in the Michigan/Ohio area. Another alternative is the Woodchuck Ciders. They are a little different than beer but a good alternative. They are " mainstream " and available in 4 flavors. Guest guest
When I was at WO the other day, the guy was putting beer in the case. I asked him about GF beer...he said Maine can't get that, just the hard ciders...(I knew that.) But then he mentioned that Bard's was back (just not available in Maine)...but a store employee had actually gotten some, in VT maybe? and the bottle had exploded on them, back a while ago. I sure hope that issue was taken care of!! Re: Gluten-free beer Posted by: "lucky3668@..." lucky3668@... lisaceliac Date: Fri Jul 14, 2006 7:19 am (PDT)Bard's is back in production. Guest guest
Today, I bought a 6 pack of Bards in Youngstown, OH. The owner said he had 24 cases shipped in and in 4 days it was gone except for my 6 pack. I have waited along time to have this beer with pizza again ;-) ysabell __________________________________________________
Guest guest
My whole 6 pack foamed and shot out about 6 inches out of the bottles. Good LuckYsabell wrote: Today, I bought a 6 pack of Bards in Youngstown, OH.The owner said he had 24 cases shipped in and in 4days it was gone except for my 6 pack. Guest guest
Last August, Bards did have a problem and I got some exploding or foaming bottles. My supplier refused to carry it as it had exploded in the store! Bards is now being made by another brewery and the problem has been fixed. He is now carrying it and selling out fast. He even has costumers who make special trips from Middle of PA just to buy it. Because of PA's outdated state run system, no supplier in PA can carry Bards! __________________________________________________
Guest guest
I bought 2 six packs about 2 weeks ago here in Kansas City at my HyVee. So far I have 8 out of the 12 bottles drank and no problems with foaming or the like. I keep them in the coldest part of my fridge. The liquor manager told me that Bards sold out of their first batch at a record pace so be patient as they get back into production. It tastes more like a pale ale to me. > > When I was at WO the other day, the guy was putting > beer in the case.
