Matt took off Gabe's morning diaper and, on a whim, handed it to .

dutifully carried it over to the trash can and dropped it in. (Yes,

I have a trash can out where the children can get it, and they leave it

alone. I never thought this day would come!)

!!!!!

He just did it again, too. Took off his own (wet) and tossed it, then *came

and got Gabe's from me* and took it to the trash too!

COMPLETELY on his own initiative.

p.s. we've been in paper diapers since travelling for Christmas...and their

bottoms are fine! =) Maybe we'll stick with this. 3 kids in cloth diapers

was not something I was looking forward to, I must admit...

Two kids in diapers and one of them having autism is what ended ten plus

years of cloth diapering for me. Oh, and a wrecked marriage. That helped

too.

Then I will not feel guilty. After all I've been doing 2 kids in diapers &

one of them having autism for, um, going on 2 years now.

But then I did not think I had a choice as whenever we did use paper diapers

(such as for weekend trips up to MI) always broke out in a bad rash

which did not heal until he was back in cloth. Even when we used the very

expensive fancy diapers with lotion and aloe and etc. built in, although

those definitely helped, he would still have a rash by the end of the trip.

Yes, I imagine so. :(

Sophie was like this. But after she was a certain age, she did get less

sensitive so probably that is what happened with .

Just curious, anyone know where I can get cloth diapers for a 130

pound 9 year old boy? how about a 7 year old 85 pound girl? If

there is honestly such a thing, I would consider it. I have 3 kids

in diapers at the moment. I figure its about 70$ a week.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Try weebees.com

They have child, youth, and adult sized rubber pants. I don't know if they

have larger than toddler size diapers, but since they carry the pants they

may be able to tell you where to find them.

Also do a web search for adult cloth diapers. Be prepared to wade through

the porn sites. Disgusting!!!

Good luck!!

How about trying a commercial diaper service or doing a web search

for supplies? We have a commercial service here in town that

primarily serves adult populations in nursing homes, care facilities,

etc. I think that they have cloth available for their clients as

well as disposables. Best of luck.

Actually I wrapped one of Gabe's up & taped it shut with the little tabs,

and he tossed it for me. :)

But the really yucky ones, no, I'm not going there.

I don't know if this will work for you or not, but we used regular diapers

inside of cloth underwear for the boys when they were in early elementary

school and not trained yet. They would use the toilet when told to, but no

control on their own to recognize when they had to go.
