Guest guest Posted July 12, 2006 Report Share Posted July 12, 2006 I wrote a letter to Giant Foods because they no longer have a spot on the shelf for Neopets Island Berry Crunch. I actually found a few boxes on the 'discount' cart the other day and bought them up. I also went to the other stores in this area (Baltimore, land): Mars, Food Lion, Shoppers, and Walmart and they don't carry it either. The letter I received from Giant said "I am sorry to tell you that Neopets and General Mills Island Berry Crunch cereal has been discontinued due to slow sales. "I'm not sure if this means General Mills has discontinued it, or Giant has discontinued selling it. If anyone knows anything more, let me know. I suspect the stores discontinue the product before the manufacturer does. However, this is not a guarantee that neopets won't be D/Ced soon. And like I said before, I can't tell when the web site was last updated. Could be fresh info, could be stale. I don't know. I didn't like the "as of now" part... but I am just being paranoid I think :-)I must spread my search a little further to find another store that carries the Neopets cereal. - this is the only cereal my husband will eat too. He's been unhappy for the past 2 weeks without his cereal.-The cereal still appears on the G.M. web site. But who knows howup-to-date the web page is. I sure don't. I only bought 3 because they had so many, and I only have one child who needs to eat it.
