Guest guest
Has anyone bought the Glutino Gluten free bread sticks? I was very disapointed. They are like crackers, not bread sticks. When I called the company they said they were from Canada and that is what they call it there. They tasted very bad, and thier customer service was even worse. He basically told me it was my problem. I hope others don't have the same bad experience I did. Tina dh 2004
Guest guest
Some are better than others. But yes, they're better dunked in soup than as a side dish with pasta and salad (a la " Olive Garden " restaurant). " Olive Garden " breadsticks they are most assuredly NOT. Sorry you're so disappointed. Give 'em a second chance with soup. You might like 'em better then. That's how I eat 'em. Esther in RI > > Has anyone bought the Glutino Gluten free bread sticks? Guest guest
I was so disapointed in the owners of the glutino's company and the treatment he gave me, I wouldn't give him a dime of mine. This disease is hard enough with out having people be mean to you on top of it. Thanks for your reply. Tina > > > > Has anyone bought the Glutino Gluten free bread sticks? I was very > > disapointed. Guest guest
I've tried the Sesame ones and like them a lot. They're like a short version of a hard breadstick, only lighter in taste and weight. They finally went on sale at my local food co-op so I gave them a try - and went back for several more boxes. My non-GF mom and sister also like them. Sorry you didn't - but Glutino need not worry, I'll eat your share - at least when they're on sale! PS - there is also a pizza flavored one but that one didn't interest me enough to try it. I assumed from the packaging that they'd be more like sesame breadsticks found in certain kinds of snack mixes. I was right. They'd be a great addition to a GF chex-style snack mix! ygg

The impression I got from talking to them (6 times, about an order we never did get) is they believe because their customers (us celiacs) have few choices they can treat us any way they choose. not if they want my money they can't! Guest guest
I don't know why you would have been expecting anything different, since the picture on the box clearly depicts that they are of a cracker-like texture. Guest guest
Have you tried Chebee bread stick mix? They are not Olive garden either, but are quite good. They bake in to a soft, chewey bread stick and there are several varietys. I have had the cheese and the garlic/onion varietys and liked both! They are very simple to make. > > Some are better than others. But yes, they're better dunked in soup > than as a side dish with pasta and salad (a la " Olive Garden " > restaurant). Guest guest
I bought -- and threw out -- the pizza-flavored variety. It was truly hideous, very dry with a weird taste, kind of like eating dust!
Guest guest
I found this email address for the person who supposedly is the company president: steven@... - full name is J. Singer - maybe drop him a line and let him know his customer service person - and his mission statement - are both lacking! > > > > Has anyone bought the Glutino Gluten free bread sticks? Guest guest
My kids and I must be weird, because we love the pizza-flavored breadsticks. I think they taste like garlic croutons. But then maybe it has been so long since I've had a crouton that I can't remember what they really taste like! My kids used to eat croutons by the handful (never on a salad) and I have to hoarde the box of breadsticks because as soon as they are opened they are GONE. I can't keep them in the pantry for long. I've never had any reason to contact their customer service, but I'm sorry to hear that they aren't very nice. I also love the Ener-G Wylde pretzels and have an even more severe problem with those disappearing fast in our house. We buy the Ener-G pretzels by the case, but I still have to hide a few bags, just to make sure we have some when they are needed! nn > > I bought -- and threw out -- the pizza-flavored variety. Guest guest
This was who I spoke to. He is the one that basically told me it was my problem, and would not do anything to help me. He told me I was having a bad day. I guess when they misrepresent thier items, I should just take it ans like it. When I told him it tasted bad he didn't care.
