Guest guest
Well, I had AT LEAST 3.5 cm cut out then I was burned several times.. My surgery is July 24, I will let ya'll know how well it turns out! I am really tall, so I am hoping maybe I had really long tubes to begin with! I am 5'10 " (130 lbs) everything on me is really long, why shouldn't my tubes be too? ANyway I have heard of a woman getting pregnant with tubes as short as 1.5 cm. ANY chance, ANY tube length will be better that what I have now!!!! And if it doesn't work, at least I will know and not have constant " what if " regrets. I have made up my mind, if Dr. Levin can't fix me, I am going to do a Kazakhstan adoption. We are already getting paperwork ready. There are so many children out there in orphanages that need parents too. Maybe I'll do both. or maybe I am so high right now from drinking 6 cups of coffe.. lol. Oooh, at least I have done a little work on my thesis, just about 25 typed agaes to go,lol.......... > I just wanted to say I have been here over two years and have not had my TR > yet. Guest guest
aNGELA a friend of mine here where I work at went to Kaz last year and got a baby. She is a reallly cutie. They tried normal conception, bad sperm, tried IVF no luck so since he is 10 yrs older than her they went over seas for adoption. They were out TONS of money too. Plus they had to donate so many clothing items to the orphanage (new with tags on it). But they have their baby now and all is good. Guest guest
Hi Nikki, No, I don't mind at all. Most of the girls here know already anyhow. I did have the bipolar coagulation and only 1.5 cm was removed in the isthmic portion of the tube..perfect for a successful reversal. I had that done in 1989. In 2000, I had surgery to remove what I thought was a cyst wrapped around my fallopian tube. After getting all of my reports together for Dr. Levin to look at, I then discovered that I had what is called a hydrosalpinx on both the proximal parts of my fallopian tubes (proximal-tube closest to the uterus) and my gyn removed the remainder of those tubes, leaving only the distal ends of my fallopian tubes. When I talked to Dr. Levin, he said that he didn't work enough with situations like that and where I didn't have anything to connect to, he didn't feel confident enough that I would be eligible for a TR. I was so depressed afterwards...ask most everyone here..I just about gave up hope. However, at the same time I was researching TR's, I also looked into another doctor who did them...Dr. Berger. He's known to do reversals on those who are deemed " unfixable " . So, I sent all my reports to him and he is going to be doing what's called a " tubouterine implantation...connecting the distal ends directly to the opening in my uterus (where my proximal ends used to be). I did have an HSG about 2 1/2 weeks ago and it showed that I have a small stump on the right side, leaving hope that a regular reversal can be done there, but not on the left side...an implantation will have to be done there. Dr. Berger has done quite a few of these types of surgeries and the success rates are awesome. I have one more surgery to go through before I can have the TR though and it's to resection a septum that I have inside my uterus (what we now think caused my pre- term labors with both my daughters). It's been a long, long road for me. But I'll tell ya what...when all is said and done and I am put back together and by God's grace I get pregnant...I am going to scream on the roof top for anyone and everyone to hear... " IF I CAN DO, SO CAN YOU...NEVER, NEVER GIVE UP YOUR DREAM!!!! " Hugs, Donna H.
