Good morning, fellow MTs, I'm in the middle of a physical exam, and while

dictating the part about the extremities, the doc says, " Extremities --

The patient has ?Heberden ?Buchard nodes. There is no peripheral edema. "

Thanks for any help you can give with that particular node.

There are Heberden nodes and there are Bouchard nodes, so that's probably

what you're hearing :-). If you do a google search you can see what they

are. They are also in Stedman's.

Hi, --sorry if I've spelled your name wrong--it's an early work day,

grin. This helps a lot. I just might do a google search. Have a blessed

day. At 08:11 AM 6/6/2003 -0400, you wrote:

Jan,

You're right--It's not in SEMD. It's in my HPI Radiology Imaging Words and

Phrases book :-). I always think it's a Stedman's book because almost all

of mine are---except for this one!! Below are links telling what they are,

etc.

I checked SEMD myself because I had never heard of Bouchard nodes. I am

unable to document Bouchard nodes. I did find Bouchard disease.. myopathic

dilation of the stomach. Where did you find Bouchard nodes?

Hi, and , thanks for telling me where these words about Heberden

and Bouchard nodes are found. I can access search engines, but

unfortunately, I only use braille and screenreading software and am unable

to read any kind of print, so until I'm able to get and use the CD version

of the word books, I'm out of luck with that for a reference, so that's why

I have to ask here. Hope it doesn't get on folks' nerves as this is a new

account and I'll need a good bit of help getting started. Thanks and have

a blessed day. At 08:35 AM 6/6/2003 -0400, you wrote:

Morning ,

That would be Bouchard and Heberden nodes per Stedman's Ortho. Type them

all the time.

Hi, thanks, that's a great way to look at things when it seems we're pretty

isolated sometimes. Have a blessed day. At 09:07 AM 6/6/2003 -0400, you
