HI,

I have Emu oil and use it when I need to for moisture. It's ok in my

opinion but I'd like to find something better. I don't feel like it

lives up to the hype I've read all over the net. Why did the PT

advise you to not use it?

-Hi " her70cuda "

My Pt recommended me not to use it because it may have additives in

it. Also she said the dr recommended olive oil. My emu oil says it

is 100% pure. I guess I will keep using the olive oil until my

irritation has lessened. Then maybe I will be able to give the emu

oil a try. I just wondered if it may be better than the olive oil.

Thanks for your reply.

You might suggest that your PT look into Laid in Montana emu oil. It is extremely high-qualityand as pure as you'll find. (Bellevue Pharmacy, a major compounding pharmacy in St. Louisthat i and several other members use for their rx's, is now using this company's emu oil as one of their base choices for compounded meds.) If you do a search using " Zdamask Laid in Montana emu oil " you should be able to find my posts from a few months ago that quote an email from the owner regarding their extraction process. A feature of emu oil that makes it particularly well suited for our purposes is that, in additionto being quite healing, it has a great ability to draw any substance mixed with it into the skin'sdeeper layers. While olive oil has a lot of pluses, it doesn't, as far as i know, possess the same degree of transdermal penetration. If you check out laidinmt.com, you'll find some good information on their site.Hollis -Hi " her70cuda " My Pt recommended me not to use it because it may have additives in it.
