temazepam? It's Restoril but RX.com shows that it only comes in 7.5 mg, 15

mg, and 30 mg. Does your pt. have trouble sleeping? This doesn't have an r

in it but I thought it would be worth a shot. :)

• Temazepam is in a class of drugs called benzodiazepines. Temazepam affects

chemicals in the brain that may become unbalanced and cause insomnia or

anxiety.

• Temazepam is used to induce sleep and cause relaxation.

• Temazepam may also be used for purposes other than those listed in this

medication guide

It does sound almost like that, but like you said, the dosage would be

wrong.

Thanks!

I keep getting answers but no questions today, so thought I would just stick in

my 2 cents on this question. I believe it would be terazosin (brand name

Hytrin), it is a beta block which comes in 10 mg. Margaret

Pattie,

Does the patient have hypertension? Could you possibly be hearing terazosin

which is the generic for Hytrin and does come in 10 mg.

Just a thought.

Pattie,

Could it be " terazosin? " It is a blocker for hypertension and benign

prostatic hyperplasia. It comes in doses 1, 5, and 10 mg. HTH.
