Hey its me!!!!

Is any one planning on going to Disney or Florida for April vacation?? We

are!!!

I am driving from Maine to Virginia, meet my parents, and we will all drive

to Florida from there.

My parents have a time share condo as does my sister. So we will all be down

there at the same time.

I am planning on maybe doing just one day at Magic Kingdom and Seaworld. But

we are going on a VERY

limited budget.

Has anyone gotten in for free? I have a friend (with ASD kids) who said he

went to guest services at WDW, showed his NARY card and got his kids in for

free.

I am so Jealous! I contacted WDW about that and they told me that no they would

NOT give free tickets but they could arrange for a special guest pass so that

you can get in lines first and special seating etc. So that is the word from

WDW maybe your friend found a really nice cast member at the ticket window.

Hi !

How are you? I take it you must be feeling somewhat better if you're

planning this trip. I haven't been to Disney since shortly after it opened!

Some day we hope to take the kids there. Let me know if you find any ways

to cut costs!

Hi ,

I live in Central Florida, about 2 hours northwest of Mickey Mouse.

I know military personal can get in free to disney world. You will

want to go to customer service at disney world and get a pass so you

and the kids won't have to wait in line. You may have to get a note

from your doc saying is autistic and can not wait in long lines.

Great link Leigh. I am also in Florida and I do have to comment. On the link

it says do not stay at one of the all star resorts. That is very important. My

husband and I went there for our honeymoon, (autistic son in belly) and the

lines were awful there!!! Our bus driver would get lost leaving the kingdom to

go back to the resort. Major pain!!! So, I definitely second what that link

says about staying at one of the all star resorts. It was awful for me being

pregnant. I could never put an autie through that or an NT for that matter.

-We went to WDW (Magic Kingdom) last year in June, was the worst

experience I ever had. The rides were broke down, never saw Disney

characters unless we stood in VERY long lines. Was so much more fun

at Seaworld and Universal Studios. I had also called and asked in

about 1. buying a ticket only for the Magic Kingdom in advance -they

said no, you only could buy the whole park pass. 2. about

accessability to the handicapped electric carts- they ran out before

we got there...and we weren't late at all. Pretty much, we walked

around MK and didn't ride the rides. No way I could handle a 2 hr

wait, nor stand to walk around the whole freaking park 2 times just

to get a fastpass, which the average wait was 3 hours.

I will tell you we saved a ton of money buying our tickets online to

all the other Parks which are usually discounted if you buy online,

really saves money and time if you're buying a lot of tickets at

once. And that way we didn't have to carry as much cash. Do not buy

any from ebay though, I've heard that they can really scam you.

I don't know why you were told that you couldn't get a one park pass because you

sure can but not in advance you would have had to buy it at the gates. They do

do a lot of maintenance during the summer. It's too bad that you didn't have a

good time. We had a blast and are going back dec 2004. CHRIS

yes thats what i meant, they wouldn't let us advance order for one

park, i had to buy it at the gate. Thanks for the clarification.

I'm sorry we didn't have a good time too, but am glad you did. Since

I've been home, some people have told me that you really have to go

when its not as busy. I thought being a monday and off season it

wouldn't have been that bad, but it was in June.

-- I 've never heard that. I have gone to guest services (in

the Town Hall on Main street to the left of the entrance) all I did

was tell them that he was autistic, and I got a Guest Assistance

Card. It says that you can use the handicapped entrances to the

attractions - VERY helpful.

However, make sure it also says you can use the fastpass lanes with

the card - the rides like Pan, Winnie the Pooh and Buzz

lightyear are some of Mitchel's favorites, and that time of year will

have long lines, and if you don't have FP written on your card, you

will have to get one (and you can only get one at a time and during

peak times you'll still have to wait). And some of those attractions

are handicapped assessible so they don't have a separate entrance.

I didn't have to show anything I just told them the dx, and they were

very nice and helpful.

Have a great time!
