I have severe nerve pain from vulvar Lichen Planus. As we are all on

this site for similar reasons, if anyone is dealing with this nerve

pain in this region, what are you treating it with? Have you had

results good or bad with the meds you are taking?

I need to find a way to deal with this horrific pain which hits me in

the clitoral area. I see a vulvar specialist, but she has not been

able to prescribe a med that will take care of this pain. I am on

3600mg of neurontin at this writing and so far I am doing OK. I have

heard that some have great success with Cymbalta. Have any of you

found this to be true? If anything is working for you please pass it

on.

Thanks,

, I just read your other post stating that it took you 40 yrs. to get a proper diagnosis of VLP! I wish I had words to express how sorry I am for you! As for the nerve pain... in all honesty, I haven't actually heard of many people feeling like they have good relief from Neurontin. However, I have heard that some have had good results from Cymbalta or Lyrica. I was prescribed both of those meds, but Lyrica would have been too expensive with my Insurance...and I also have to be careful because I have side effects to meds pretty easy, so I wasn't able to try them. I have Pudendal Neuralgia and I've found the pain med Tramadol to help. It's not considered a narcotic, but works on a similar level as one. Until you can find out what is causing the pain, have you considered asking for a referral to a pain

management doctor? By chance, is the clitoral pain related to the LP? Take Care,Chelle
