Guest guest
My eye doctor suggested I put plugs into my lower ducts to help keep moisture from seeping out into my nasal cavity since my eyes are severely dry. Mind you I am on many medications that can make you dry. I have had 3 RAIs and I get dehydrated and my salivary glands ache often if I don't continue to drink fluids throughout the day. Apparantly, working out, sleeping with your eyes open/cracked, certain medications: thyroid, allergy medication, can all cause severe dry eye. I wake up in the morning and my eyes are bloodshot and I feel like I have a grain of sand just cutting the eyeball up everytime I blink. The actual procedure was painless and done in less than 5 minutes. I felt the plugs at first but no longer do. I am not sure if they are helping, as my eyes are still dry and I use Visine to lubricate my eyes. They are the best brand out there that I can find so far. Not much else to tell you. Just feels like one more thing I have to learn to live with. In conjunction with constipation, cold feet, weird digestion, and dependency on calcium supplements. I just add this to the long list of things that ail me. I guess it's all the part of getting older! LOL. Lora ===== Newport Beach, CA - Age 32 - 14 yr.
