Guest guest Posted August 28, 2003 Report Share Posted August 28, 2003 Penny, I had the enema, and it wasn't that bad. You are close to the bathroom, so don't worry about the floor! It's over and done with before you know it. I think Dr. Levin does them so that the bowels are empty and that makes it easier to access your tubes. At least that's what I remember someone saying. Yup, it's a bag with warm fluid, you lay on your side. And then head for the toilet. If it's any consolation, my pre-op nurse (Carol) was so careful not to go to fast to cause cramping.
