Guest guest
Thanks Zoe, but I had my days with the local hotels and our local cvb has the BIGGEST sexist jerk in the world heading it up and I couldn't last a minute there! But thanks! Guest guest
Thanks , Yeah, it is hard with this illness & my girls. I think what has made me the strongest is, when I was married, Dave was never any support. Now that I'm a single mom I kinda thank him for that. It is hard, very hard. Somedays, like today, its the hardest. I just talked to Lily on the phone & she said I sounded so much stronger. I wish I felt as strong as I sound. I'm still fighting this awful pain. Its so hard at times.........thanks again, my friend. I'm glad at least I have this place to come to when I'm down & out, and it is a very well appreciated. Lots of Hugs, ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dear LInda It must be very hard with a young family to deal with and this sickness at least I didnt get it until the kids were grown and out of the house. Thinking of you
Guest guest
Dear LInda I myself have had a pretty hard time with the nausea and pain lately. My doctor told me today he is going to give me lots of samples of a new enzyme pill to try.. Dont know the name yet. Hopefully it will help but the last 2 I tried did nothing. May have to go to hospital soon which like you I dread. Tomorrow can only be better.
Guest guest
Deb, I am glad that Nick is doing better. I hope things go well for him. In answer to the pain meds question I am taking Lortab and Talwin. I got the prescription for the Talwin from the Doc in the ER the other night when I had to go and it does help with the pain so I use that when I am at home from work and take one Lortab while I am working because I can function with it. in Sumter, SC Thanks Sent a post a while ago and it didn't go through. I'm sending a similar note here just in case it does not show up ever. Thanks for all your kind words of encouragement for Nick. He is doing better now that he is rehydrated and his pain is under control. They have him on a demerol pump. It is soo much better for him to control how much demerol he gets. No highs and lows with the pain. An mri is being scheduled for the near future. They might have to put a stent back in again. Maybe the opening it made has closed up again. I was wondering if some of you could send me the names of the pain meds ect that you are on. I would like to see if the docs feel that Nick might benefit from something different. Thanks again to all. Deb

Guest guest
Sounds like you are in pretty bad shape but have a doctor who is willing to recognize that there are limits to his knowledge and to how much your body and your mind can take. Sometimes that is worth as much (if not more) than a truly knowledgable doctor. I also have a doctor who so far (knock on wood - sorry whoevers head that is) that my has also been pretty flexible and willing to refill the pain meds - his physician's assistant knows more about CP than he does but he takes my word that I need to have the pills on hand and is no longer giving me the " your a drunk or a junkie looking for a fix " look that I first got so there is hope.
