Guest guest
Just so you know, my doc did NOT do the enema and I wish he had!! Yes you read that right. I wish he HAD. Instead they gave me a ton of laxatives and stool softeners after the surgery. In fact, they gave me so many that I was afraid I wouldn't make it home(1hour drive). It was quite comical because my toilet broke the morning after the laxatives really kicked into overdrive. It just kept flushing and flushing. I thought I overloaded it! It turned out to be a broken pipe a couple of floors down. Needless to say, I was anxious for the maintenance men to finish and get out of there. So, for those of you who fear the enema, take heed. There are worse alternatives. Let's not forget, no one wants to " bear down " with a big ole abdominal incision. So grin and bear it(or should I say bare it). LOL. Guest guest
Really, they're not that bad...not pleasant, but not that bad. I had one when I ended up in the hospital for abdominal pain once. I guess the worst part for me was having a complete stranger shoot water up you-know-where!!! Just make sure you bring reading material to the poddie after your enema, 'cause when you think you're done, YOU " RE NOT!! Guest guest
---with my seven children, I got so if I didn't do one at home, I'd ask for one before labor got to hard. One nurse told me it probally helped with the easier labor/delivery....hugs~~kelly In TubalLigationReversal , " denalraab " <denalraab@y...> wrote: > Really, they're not that bad...not pleasant, but not that bad.
