Guest guest
I think I wrote about this a few years ago..I remember one of the twins had a hard time knowing when to take a breath....like he would " say " a few words and then have to stop and take a gulp of air...it did not come natural like a " normal " kid who learns to speak at 1 or 2....although I noticed this year in my Kindergarten class I had a spanish little boy....in the beginning of the year he did the same thing...he would talk to me in a long sentence (for a 5 yr old) and then breathe...i did mention to the SLP ...i thought it was because he was trying to master the english language?? It did go away, though...and i don't see my own twins doing this anymore! Could it be that they are (what I call) " setting up " the words and if they don't anticipate the need for the breath then it's not put in or they have to stop making it seem un-natural? kathy nj
