Guest guest
Ok some of you may remember me asking for prayers for my cousins baby who turned a year old in April. She has aplastic anemia and goes every few weeks for blood transfusions. Well now it's been determined her last best hope is a marrow transplant. I really don't know all the full details other than that and locally they are holding a benefit auction for her in Aug, as the family will be incurring a number of finacial situations in dealing with all this including loss of work travel etc. Please Pray that she gets better, and that the auction is succesful My poor aunt waited so long to be a granny and now the problems that she has had to endure.(for those that don't know aplastic anemia is where the body is actully attacking/killing the blood cells) Second request is so heart breaking it is not even funny(Cindy I just keep comparing her to your foster child and saying why,) I worked on the special ed bus as a one-on-one aid for the last 1 1/2 years. Her last day was Wed.6/18. that morning the other aid had come onto the bus and said bet we don't see her today. The Thurs. prior to this she had made the comment that she had not had one of her siezure medications (been in the process of switching her from one to another since Dec/Jan gradually lowering one increasing the other)The one that they were switching her to was the one she said that she hadn't had since Mon. and would not be getting over the weekend. The other aid and the driver reported it to the person in charge at our school and were told oh you know how she lies. So anyway, this Wed the other aid had had to get her child medication and saw the family with the girl at the pharmacy. the child was unconcious and the sister told her that she was having a siezure and mom was in refilling the scrip. By all accounts (i didn't not see most of this) they never took her to the hospital. thhe next day her younger sister told us that she was sicker than a dog, had doggie sickness and was throwing up. Was told she was taken to the hospital that day and a day later was medi-vacced to a bigger hospital. Well the other aid called today to tell me that she had ordered flowers from us, for the child and just before I returned her call the florist called to tell her that they were undeliverable as the child had been moved to another hospital. AFter some digging she found out that she may have been moved to the other hospital because of liver damage. now mind you the people at school had been told that this child came to bus on a daily basis smelling of cat urine, and on more than one occasion wore the same clothes and would brag about wearing the same outfit all the way to her underwear without even removing her shoes to sleep (no socks) for 7 - 10 days at a time. Not to mention how many adults in the school she actually attends. And I was informed that the other children actually were dragged into school by the mother, one day smelling like that too and cleared a room from the smell.. So please pray for this child, her sisters, and that someone sees fit to look a little closer at the whole situation. No child should have to go through their lives like this....... thank you so much for your time in reading this I know it was long, and I left out so much more but I wanted you to have some idea........
