Guest guest
Hang in there, Carolyn! You are bound to figure out what's up sooner or later. Carolyn, if the concoction the one with the E. & T and nerve pain meds? If so, I'm not sure what to tell you. I started out using Estrogen alone and it took about two months before I noticed improvement. Using the hormones topically is not a 'quick' fix per se, but when they begin to work, you will definitely feel a difference (if that is a part of the problem for you). Using the E & T together, though, might cause results sooner!I think generalized vulvodynia can be on any part of the vulva. Vestibulodynia is confined to the vestibule and especially causes pain on contact, like with sitting, wearing tight clothes, inserting tampons and pain with sex (upon entrance). This may sound crazy, but I spent a long time trying to figure out the exact area of the vestibule. I saw so many different diagrams that I had a hard time making sense of them. I went back and forth for years wondering if I did indeed have vestibulodynia. Now I know why! My case is located to a specific spot in the vestibule. The terms can get pretty confusing. Take Care,Chelle I am also revisiting the concoction of topical estrogen that I was prescribed. Those that use the topical estrogen, how long did it take to see results? Also, the diagnosis of vulvodynia can that include pain in the vestibule area? or is that just vestibulodynia?
