My son has been taking 1 capsule a day for 10 days now. He is 38 mos

and 30 1/2 pounds. I am supposed to increase his dosage in 4 days to 2

capsules a day. His pediatrician suggested starting with one capsule a

day to see how he tolerates it. I use the Carn-Aware brand and it's

200mg per capsule. I put it on his breakfast sausage (it's barely warm

and the powder dissolves into the oil in the pre-cooked breakfast

sausage) or his cocoa (again tepid).

I searched here and another mom gives her son 4 capsules a day and he

is 5. Two in the am and 2 in the pm.

Best wishes,

Debra

I forgot to mention the Carn-Aware site mentions 2 capsules twice a

day:

I am giving my 4 year old son 2 capsules each morning in his oj and am

seeing some pretty neat results. He is attempting more sounds and he is

finally not only signing mama but also saying mama. His teacher told me

today that he is focusing much better ie: in circle time, during story time

etc. He doesn't have an " official " diagnosis as of yet but is non-verbal

but signs like a champ. The website does state 2 capsules morning and night

for autism dx.

Overall, I am pretty pleased with this carnaware!

I would start with 2 caps twice a day of carnaware. The studies that

Dr. Chez has done do not show any risks associated with this amino

acid supplement.
