Yup, 6 of them!

By the way, for all you parrot fans, if you haven't seen the

documentary " Wild Parrots of Telegrah Hill, " it's an absolute must.

Thanks for reminding me, . Yes, I've heard of it, and remember reading

about San Francisco's cherry-headed conures even before it was a movie. I

wonder if it's out on video yet.

Sharon

PS: I only have 2 brothers. With 6 you would HAVE to have a sense of

humor!

I have had the best, tears streaming down my face, laugh at poor 's expense. I hope everyone knows it was all in fun.

Re: [ ] Re: Parrot

Now that I think about it I think you have uncovered 's secret. She had nothing to do with the writing of that post. Her parrot brother is using her internet address to search for buddies and bingo! He has found them right here on the scoliosis _revised board.

And now that it is all out in the open, would probably appreciate it if we would quit harassing her and her parrot. (Cam is probably about one post away from telling us this is not scoliosis related)

Thank you Cam. It is nice to know we can add a little pleasure to our pain without being "corrected" as was the case at another place and time.

[ ] Re: Parrot

Joyce E,Oh Joyce, I do hope you are kidding...I would never want to be considered a "scold"!!I would never, ever post about staying "on-topic". The heart of this board is the expression of who we are...and how we find joy and fun in life...as well as the tears and the pain. I don't think any of us would enjoy this place much if it devolved into a joke telling site...but my opinion is, as long as no one is being mean or hurtful or prescribing/practicing medicine..."let 'er rip!"It is probably as good a time as any to restate for newcomers that I do not consider this "my" board....it is all of ours. I just got her up and running since I had idle time while in the recovery period (and another board was turning somewhat unpleasant). The day will come when someone else can have a turn at some of the functions I have been doing..it will no doubt be a healthy thing and keep this group fresh and interesting! I really do not mean to have too strong a voice...it's just the Controller in me that comes through from time to time.So squawk on parrot lovers! Cam

I just read recently about parrots in Connecticut! Apparently they got loose from some experimental lab a few years ago, and have become "pests" to some people! Can you imagine? Pests? Hmph!

Send them all this way - I'll gladly take them in! Through the years

I've had a Blue Crowned conure, Patagonian conure, African Grey

parrot, and numerous cockatiels. Not sure which I'm more obsessive

over, my birds or my basset hounds!

Just down to 3 cockatiels now Sharon. I was in and out of the

hospital so much in 2001 that my big birds were to difficult to care

for, so my son took them over. I'm hoping that after this next go-

around I'll be able to manage them back here at home!

Oh, yes, . I'm sure you must miss the big babies. That's great that

your son was able to take them.

CA ,

What an interesting " symphony " you must have in your home. We all have

our own definitions of joy, no?
