Second is MiraLax. What is the first one being prescribed for?

Xalatan would be for glaucoma. Could not tell about the MiraLax. I will flag

them. I thought that since he spelled them out that they would be right. Ha!

Thanks everybody for your help.

The second one is probably MiraLax. I'm not sure about the first one..

could be Xalatan maybe, but that's just a guess.

He may have spelled Xalatan out correctly, but it's just not coming through

clearly. " h-e " and " a-t " can sound almost identical on tape. Kind of like

" hypo " and " hyper " , no matter how hard they try, it can still be hard to

differentiate.

Yes, you're probably right. Hopefully, when I get a little more experience

under my belt, everything will be more clear.

Thanks.

I have been searching for quite a while now, just out of curiosity, and there

seems to be two spellings for the same drug.

Xalantan and Xalatan

rxlist has it without the " n " , but many other sources on the Internet include

it.

Who is the final authority?

Thanks, Carolyn

I can't think of anyone more authoritative than the manufacturer,

which is Pfizer in this case. They spell it Xalatan. :-)

One can usually find the manufacturer of a specific drug fairly

quickly for verifications such as this by putting the following into

Google:

[insert drug name here] manufacturer

That'll usually bring up the marketing/manufacturing company within a

hit or two.

Hey Chuck. The name of the drug is Xalatan. Not only do I type it

all the time, but one of my mother's friends takes it. So Xalatan

it is!
