TSH Question

A TSH of 0.9 is still too high right since we are looking for <0.1

but why would the docs say I had too much levoxyl? They lowered me

from 175 to 150mcgs. Also, I felt really horrible when I was on it

and they said that was because I was on the hyper side.

Trying to get my side straight...

Maureen,

In a recent posting in Sept. you stated that your blood work was

>TSH is 10.72. My thyroglobulin is <0.9 < Now you say it was your TSH

that was 0.9. Which is correct?

Based on your earlier post it would stand to reason that you felt

horrible with a TSH of 10.72. That is very hypo. Any reduction in

medication with your numbers elevated like that is an indication that

your doctor does not know how to manage thyroid cancer. I suggest you

look for another endo or at least ask your endo how many thyca

patients he is following; you may be the only one.

There are many patients that need upward of 200 mcg to achieve

suppression.
