Thank you so much. You are a fountain of information and wisdom.JHi J., Sorry I'm slow replying...it takes me awhile to get through the messages sometimes.  Kegels are not good to do if you have tight pelvic floor muscles.  There is now a lot of good info out there about physical therapy for vulvar pain.  For those of us with vulvar pain, we tend to tighten our pelvic floor muscles and that can refer pain to the vestibule/vulvar area.  This won't be the case for everyone.  The best way to know if you have involvement of the muscles is to get checked by a good updated physical therapist.  Only problem is, there isn't always one located close to us in our own area.  Docs are useless when it comes to palpating the muscles.  I've only had two docs so far palpate mine and one was a dermatologist who specializes in vulvar pain!  I hope this helps...Chelle--- On Sun, 1/4/09, thefilmfarm (AT) earthlink (DOT) net <thefilmfarm (AT) earthlink (DOT) net> wrote:Hi--Are kegels not good for us to do? (I have Atrophic Vulvar Dystrophy) I ask because I had been doing some intense yogic stretches and exercises that involve those muscles right  before I was diaognosed.Thank you Chelle!J
