Fever is high, but no tylenol has crossed his lips so it remains high. It's all we can do to get the penicillin in him... Robbie is better. is almost well but very very cross. And Enrique has a sore throat. But Sophie went back to school yesterday. Salli

Guest guest
Jacquie, Keep a sheet on the floor (to catch any misses) and a bucket or kitchen size waste basket new to the bed on top of the sheet. Then all has to do is lean off the bed and hopefully there will be no mess to clean up, just the bucket to rinse. I do this with my kids. I'm like you when it comes to being around it, ughhh. Hope he's feeling better soon! Sue
Guest guest
Get well soon k. Cecilia, from Peru (mom to Dessiree 3½ yo, no dx yet some autistic traits) Lovely husband -----Mensaje original----- De: The Hunny Family Enviado el: Miércoles, 29 de Enero de 2003 09:59 p.m. Para: parenting_autism Asunto: the nitrates finally got him. :-( At four o'clock, ate 2 uncooked weiners. He has been puking for the last five hours. He vomited up the weiners almost immediately, but he's been dry retching ever since. :-( But through this hideous evening, I have gained a new appreciation for my husband. Vomit makes me vomit. Vomit doesn't bother him! Every time ERic has made even a wimper, dh has flown across the room with bucket and facecloth, and cleaned up afterward. This, while I've been frozen in panic. Dh has to go to bed soon. Then it's my shift. and I will sleep together. I only hope that I can take care of him half as well as Marc has. Guest guest
Has it subsided yet Jacquie? You at all worried about food poisoning? Poor kid. Poor you. I hope it's over and the " second shift " doesn't have to do puke duty. :/ ~Karin
Guest guest
It might not be the nitrates, maybe the hotdogs were just bad, however, it does not sound like a fun evening. Yeah for Marc. What a good daddy and husband. I hope your shift is not as eventful. Good luck!!

Guest guest
Sending good healthy vibes your way. yuck! Poor , poor Jacquie and even poor Marc. Jeff would have died. He does NOT do vomit. So that leaves me with it. Alec had a bad night a while back and I was doing the same laundry. I feel for you. Except we had more sheets....lots more. Poor Alec just vomits all over himself and everything. But he is in a toddle bed with a baby matress so I just wipe it down and lysol it. Guest guest
Oh God Jacquie. I'm so sorry! You know, I always tell my clients after birth that now that they have gone through childbirth, they can do anything. And when they have that night, the night that will surely visit every mother, when the child is up sick all night long and Mom must nurse him... then she can look back on the birth and say to herself, " Well, if I got through that, then I can get through this night too. " Your night was exactly the kind I was thinking of. You did it Jacquie. Both you and survived. Now you just have to recover. :/ Hope all is well now!!!!! ~ Karin

Guest guest
> Has it subsided yet Jacquie? You at all worried about food poisoning? I was, but all the weiners seemed to vacate the body in the first three or four vomits, still solid. (ick) The rest of the vomiting was mostly water he drank and stomach bile. He seems fragile but ok this morning....but we'll see. If there's any more vomiting, I'm taking him into emerg. Jacquie
