Guest guest
My Primary doc checks mine every three months and I think it a good thing to look into. Pregnancy can also affect the thyroid. It's not uncommon for women especially in their 30's to develop it after having a baby. I complained to docs for 7 yrs. before someone finally treated me! My T3 levels have been flagged for that long. I'm not sure why so many women with PCOS have hypothyroidism, but I suspect it's because PCOS seems to be a larger Endocrine disorder anyway. If you will do a search on "thyroid" on the homepage you will probably find some good info. Hollis (on the group) has been a big help to several of us trying to make sense of the thyroid lab ranges and treatment. Take Care,ChelleI have wondered the same thing myself. Hypothyroidism runs in myfamily too. Nobody has ever tested me though. I'll add that to mylist of tests to bug my primary doc about!
