Guest guest
Tracey, just had to jump in here! When my tube was removed the whole tube was removed and there is no opening at all on that side either!!! And just so you know that you can get pg that way, I have, however the pg failed, but I succeeded in getting pg so there is a plus, I know it can be done! Just thought you might want to here that!! T S...Re: Survived the HSG , Thanks for your response and the info on ovulating. I had been concerned after seeing how absoulutely no fluid at all went into the " bad side " . Also, the way that the radiologist was reacting when she saw that had me wonder too because it seemed like she thought it was a radical and unusual thing for them to have removed the whole tube with no openings to the uterus on that side. It probably is a slim chance but just the thought of having more than 50% chance sounds good to me. I know that I can ovulate from the side that the tube was removed from but I just kind of imagined the ovum having nowhere to go. Have you looked into surgery to try to " repair " your right tube? I'm not sure if you have, I don't remember you mentioning before but I was just asking again. I hope your UTI has cleared up..those are so awful I know!! Take care. Guest guest
Tracey~~ If I remember correctly they saw a " stub " when they did my hsg. But I have also been told recently it's better to have nothing because the fluid that collects in the other tube and the stub can be toxic to embryos. As far as surgery to repair my left tube. There is no doctor who will do it, no matter what. I had it repaired when they removed the ectopic and they went back in 6 months later to repair it again because it had closed up again. So seeing as I have had surgery twice to repair it it is no longer fixable. So if I have to have surgery to remove this mass I have I will have them remove the damaged tube, since it's of no use and if I have IVF in the future the risk of having the " toxic " fluid will be nil. Thanks for the concern. I hope all goes well with you! --- tab1018 tab1018@...> wrote: > , Thanks for your response and the info on > ovulating.
