Hi

Its 3 am. I can't sleep and doing searches on the internet sure isn't

helping - I called my dr. to tell him I have now about 4 days late

for my period and exeriencing some pretty disturbing cramps.

He had me in for a blood test to make sure it isnt another ectopic.

Aside from that he thinks it may be a cyst that has grown and would

cause delayed period. I have looked up ovarian cysts on the net and

read stories about laproscopys revealing nightmares - ovaries being

removed ...

I am terrified. I have an appt on friday but I think i will push my

way in tomorrow before I have a heart attack!

Has anyone had any experience with this?

Sherry, I am a cyst veteran. Try not to worry. Usually what happens

is that you get one, and eventually it will rupture which sounds

horrible & can be painful but isn't a big deal most times.

Occasionally they will get rather large & the doctor can then drain

them, in his office.

They can be quite uncomfortable, but not usually terribly worrisome.

Hang in there, sweetie.

hugs, lori

Hey there. I don't blame you for being worried and wanting to get into the drs

sooner. I hope they try to see you today. I haven't had any experience with

this but I hope you get an answer soon, I would be freaking out too. It is so

hard not to. Take care. M

Sherry,

I have been experience " cyst- hell " since June... I swore I was having

another ep.... they did a vaginal u/s and saw that I had cysts that

ruptured... they put me on b/c pills for 6 weeks and as soon as I came off

of them, the cysts came back... it's been bad. They say it's just hormonal

and that if I get pg it will stop. Well, hey, I'd like to be pg!!

I am saying prayers for you and let me know if you have any other questions.

Another comment on cysts. In October, I went to the dr. for help in

conceiving and because intercourse was painful. They found a large

cyst 15mm. I had to go through one full cycle and go back for another

u/s. When i went back, it had shrunk on it's own and the pain was

gone. I was told I could continue to TTC even with the cyst, if I

wanted.

Hi

ouch! poor you!

I had the ultrasound and they didnt see anything

wrong.

Im feeling like a bit of an alarmist.

I ended up getting my period rather late and it was

heavy and painful. Im actually pretty good with pain -

have a high tolerance for it and last week was just

unbearable.

Im trying to take the docs word for it that nothing is

wrong but im none to trusting. at this moment the pain

i feel (though my period in gone - only 3 days!- seems

to be right where my right ovary is. i just dont

understand it. im so afraid they missed an infection

(form the hsg or something) and it will affect my

fertility.

yes. i am paranoid!

Sherry,

it's hard NOT to get paranoid after all we have been througth. My only

advise is that if you are still having pain go back and demand the dr check

you out again.

I hope you are feeling better.
