Guest guest
I am thinking of trying some zinc oxide cream ( the diaper rash kind). My whole vulva area is red and dry now because of the irritation but I am afraid it might irritate it. What has been anyone elses experiences who might have tried it? > > Last month after the swelling and pain from the period went down, it > seemed improved a bit. Guest guest
Maybe a little Vaseline? I've used that when I've had to wear a pad. It doesn't make it go away entirely, but it does help some. Subject: Re: PainTo: VulvarDisorders Date: Tuesday, January 27, 2009, 6:03 AM OK I tried emu oil since i have used it before. Guest guest
I use Crisco. The white stuff not the oil. I think it helps with the burning. Guest guest
R., I've used Desitin on my vulvar area when I went swimming in the ocean. I was afraid the salt water would irritate me. The good thing is that it seems to be very mild, especially since it's used on babies. I never had any trouble. You could always just test a small area. Apply a tiny amount and wait awhile before using anymore just to make sure.In Dee's list of helpful suggestions, she lists Butt paste. YES, that is the name of the diaper cream...BUTT paste. I have heard it is really good, though I never have used it myself (or on my boys when they were babies). ;-) ChelleFrom: her70cuda Subject: Re: PainTo: VulvarDisorders Date: Tuesday, January 27, 2009, 12:03 AMI am thinking of trying some zinc oxide cream ( the diaper rash kind). Guest guest
I actually used Butt Paste for irritation following my period, since we had it in the house for my son anyway, and it worked pretty well. It didn't cause any irritation (for me anyway). I agree that you should probably try a small amount first just to be sure though. > > R., > > I've used Desitin on my vulvar area when I went swimming in the ocean.
