Guest guest
Your cycle is determined by everything but your tubes. If you have an ovary left and a uterus you will still have a period. Your period is caused by the uterus shedding the endometrium (lining of the uterus) which builds up in the days after your period to accomadate a possible fertilized egg. If you do not conceive you have a period. I hope this helps you. Your fallopian tube only serves as a " chute " for the egg to be transferred to the uterus from the ovary. tina howard MS_BEANS_OF_VA@...> wrote: I dont even know what surgery was performed and what exactly happened if anyone knows please inform me also why do i have a period every month if i only have one tube > > > thanks. > > > __________________________________________________
Guest guest
tina, I am not sure what surgery you had. I am assuming that they took your tube. Do you have a big scar along your bikini line or little ones on your sides and belly button?? You still get your period every month because you ovulate every month. The egg is released and if it is not fertilized by sperm then you get your period. You can still get pg each month with only one tube. The egg CAN jump over to your only tube. This happened to me. If you are not sure what you had done, Please call the dr and find out. If I can help you in any way, let me know. lisa r
