Guest guest
I have been here for almost 5 years...my twins will be 8 on the 29th. We were in our 8th month of Early Intervention coming into the house 4 hours/week for speech only and we were going to speech outside 3 times/week. Then I found this site and when I eventually gained enough courage and read enough success stories regarding the EFAs, I asked all of their specialists and they all agreed that it would not hurt them...but of course gave me no hope...since nothing was actually proven, etc. I also was told by the neurologist that they may never speak and start to sign as they may just live a deaf world. Within days, they began to speak.....no, not sentences, but little words like " NO " ....I am in the Late Talker Book as I believe I was quoted saying that it could not have been a coincidence. It is wonderful to read about the parents with babies that have already seen enough red flags to begin " fish pills. " You are so ahead of the game and your children will one day thank you! It would have been wonderful if I had started 2 years earlier than I had! , where were you then?? LOL.... kathy in NJ
