Would this be appropriate regarding making a list?

I just passed a transcription test for a national company, and now

I'm composing the written portion of the test. There are 6 questions.

I am pasting each question into the email and then typing my answer

underneath. At one point I'm told to list several things in an

answer. Here's the format I'm using.

1. Question here.

Answer here.

2. Question here.

Answer here.

3. Question here regarding list.

a. answer 1

b. answer 2

c. answer 3

d. answer 4.

Is this right? How would you put the list in here? This isn't a test

on style or anything like that, but I still want to make sure it's

done correctly. Thanks!
