Guest guest
Ok I just needed to vent a little... So...today we spent the day tidying up around the house and hanging some things on the wall and I got into my office to clean it up since it is right in the middle of the house and visible from all rooms...Well tonight it looks great and I was so proud of it until my asshole DH says.. " well yeah the whole house would look great if you hadn't spent all day in there and had done some laundry and dishes and sweeping and mopping and dusting.... " GRRRRR...and on top of that not 10 minutes later he looks at me and asks... " and by the way since you aren't working any more when are you going to start doing some therapy with Christian? " ( our nearly 4 yo autistic son) It wasn't that he asked me when I was going to do it it was the tone of the way he asked me as if to say that since I just sit on my ass instead of chasing 3 active boys all day only one of which is NT.....plus doing laundry for 5 and cooking for 5 ( 4 of which are not vegetarian and I am) so that requires 6 meals a day as far as cooking goes...OK I feel better...well not really but it may help a little later...Cat Click Certified S.H.E (Sidetracked Home Executive) And FlyMommy To: Austin-5 Christian and -3 (Fraternal Twin Boys) Check out www.flylady.net If this lady can't whip you into shape no one can!! Guest guest
I think I might have come back with a nasty reply if my husband had said such a thing to me!! Vent away. With comments like this from a spouse you can't keep it in! I hope he's not always this kind of jerk! Sue
Guest guest
Well, if said something like that to me he would be in so much trouble. LOL! Then again, knows what kind of bitch I can be when I get pissed off. It's something he tries to avoid. Guest guest
Ah, yes. The bane of the SAHM's existence. " Just what do you do all day? " Never mind that we get no days off, no scheduled breaks or lunch, no quitting time, no scheduled vacations, no permissible sick days.... They never get it. Even if they stay home on some rare occasion and do your job and see how hard it is (and they never really do all of our job) and they get that glimmer of appreciation and tell you how they could never do what we do..... it fades away and the debate comes up again. Vent away, it's all the satisfaction you're going to get on this one I think. :/ ~ Karin
Guest guest
> Never mind that we get no days off, no scheduled breaks or lunch, AS I'M EATING LUNCH ON MY BREAK......LOL, I couldn't be a SAHM, just could not do it. At school, I have 2 assistants, at home, I just have me. Even though there's 12 kids in my class, it's easier " at times " to work. BTW: I don't get any sick time either, I use it all on my kids. So I'm still with kids 24/7 Kris But anyways, I deeply admire anyone who could stay at home. period.

It's 3:33 p.m. here and I just shoveled some left over veggies with butter & parmesan cheese nuked in the microwave into my mouth for lunch. My break is getting to read e-mails for a few minutes and then I go back to my work day which I figure I'll finish at about 12:30 a.m. tonight and I still won't get everything done that I wanted to do today. Of course I will watch some TV tonight I think. Isn't CSI on tonight? I'll watch it while I fold clothes. I really feel for working parents and kid's sick days though. That has gotta be rough. If I'm really sick I *can* just lay in bed, but chaos will reign all around me and I will have to face it all eventually. :-) Well, you all know. ~ Karin

And without help for the daily routine of living, help that would need to come from that man sitting on his rear or someone you have to pay, you will do precious little therapy at home. GRRRR is right. Salli
