Guest guest
The nurse called this evening and 's alk phos and bili are still elevated. We have to be there for an ultra sound and biopsy in the morning so we are going down tonight. Pray for us that it's nothing. I'm trying not to think the worse. You all know how I worry! wife of UC & PSC 2000 J pouch 2004 Tx 11-18-
Guest guest
Hi Ali and others, we just got home. The day before Thanksgiving is a real fun time to be traveling from anywhere, especially Nashville! Plus it was raining. The biopsy showed mild rejection here as well, plus the bile isn't flowing as they would like so they are starting him back on Urso. Finally, I've been asking for that for months, but didn't want it for this reason. They are also increasing Prograf to 3 mg twice a day, discontinuing CellCept and starting Immuran, and increasing Prednisone to 10 mg once a day. He has labs again on Monday and once a week until we see some improvement. Could everyone please tell me to stop worrying that his PSC is returning? I really need to hear it from you all, because my imagination is working overtime and no one has actually said those words to us! It was really odd to be back in Nashville exactly a year from when we were there before. I kept wondering how many of the families in the waiting area were there for transplants. I started to just go ask, but thought people would think I was nuts! The nurse in the recovery had been the one to try to calm down to get a CT scan last year when the Prograf was making him so crazy. She remembered me crying to her when I snapped, but didn't remember . It's probably a good thing. Thanks for listening. wife of UC & PSC 2000 J pouch 2004 Tx 11-18-
