" Mere listing of ingredients as in recipes, formulas, compounds or prescriptions are not subject to copyright protection. However, when a recipe is accompanied by substantial literary expression in the form of an explanation or directions, or when there is a combination of recipes, as in a cookbook, there may be a basis for copyright protection. " The key here is substantial literary expression. I have to know this for my website, LOL. debbi
Guest guest
Yea. Share it. The book is copyrighted, not the recipes. Guest guest
so I can give you the ingerdents then make up my own directions 1/2 cup margarine 1 cup GF flour mix (6 parts rice flour 2 parts potato starch 1 part tapioca starch) 1 teaspoon seasoning salt (pinch garlic powder, pinch salt, pinch paprika) 9oz Soyco Vegan Cheddar cheese 1/4 teaspoon turmeric for color First margarine and " cheese " are creamed together. All the rest of the stuff and mix until you can form a ball (like playdough) You may want to use a processor - I've been told this really helps with the flours. Divide the dough in rectanglular blocks and wrap with wax paper and chill until firm (like with homemade sugar cookies). Cut in little slices and use your litty bitty goldfish cookie cutter. Take the scraps and let the kids make other fun stuff! Try to keep the crackers thin. Don't grease your cookie sheet. Bake for about 10 minutes till they are slightly browned. Put the rest of the dough in the freezer. The confusing part to me is that if you just make the crackers without the itty bitty cookie cutter you don't need to grease the sheet. But if you are going to use the cookkie cutter it says to grease the sheet. I've always found when I do that everything is greasy. I'll try this recipe in the next couple weeks and let you guys know how I messed it up LOL
