Hi, my son was diagnosed with apraxia, he has problems jumping, running as well

as stair climbing, as well as speech considerably delayed he is 4 1/2 yrs old.

His doctor ordered lots of test to rule out other problems as well as a mri.

Well, the mri showed a cyst on his brain, but said it is unrelated to his

speech. well they also found through blood work he has high AST and alt levels.

That is his liver function test. Well, since he has been seeing the GI

Specialist they did an ultrasound of his liver did all kinds of blood work

including hepatitis testing which nor my husband or I have that, but that came

back negative and his ultrasound looked good. So she did more blood work and

found his CPK (creatine phospho kinase) well normal limits are 30-200 his levels

are 13060. So they say that, that means his muscle is leaking into his blood

stream. Has anyone else had this problem. They are now going to be testing her

for muscular dystrophy, I pray this is not it. I pray someone else

has had this test come back high and it ended up not being that. Please share

stories with me. Please is there any info any one can share with me. I need to

find out if there is anything else that can cause this. I have tried typing

everything in the search engine. I am begging please if you know of a message

board I can go to, a number I can call anything. Please. thank you.

Snider
