Guest guest
Oh, My I am SSSSSSOOOO glad I am not the only one here in bad shape.....lol....Next week will be 8 weeks since I have been down. I fell and broke off a piece of bone in my foot and have a very bad sprain....lol......now this week the Orthopedic Surgeon says " well either you have the world wrost sprain, or there is some other problem so were doing an MRI " . Maybe I will find out something tomorrow after my MRI. But for the last almost 8 weeks I have been doing my physical therapy stuff and also doing the Walk Away The Pounds 1 mile video (sitting down of course with my leg propped up!). The physical therapist said that was a good idea. Move your leg as best as you can up and down or pretend march in the air ect. The first few weeks all I could do was the arm movements with my weights. I am still not suppose to be up very much as when I do walk around I swell up very fast. But in the 8 weeks I had gained about 8lbs the first week (swelling and don't even ask how I stepped up on the scale...lol....my dh almost killed me for doing it and it realy depressed me) and I was on bedrest for 7 days and then was only to be up for bathroom/showering for another week and then up for very brief time periods. I was so afraid I would gain, but I lost those 8 lbs and 2 more. Trying to count points was very hard as for several weeks ladies from church brought meals over, so I just tried not to each much. Plus the physical therpaist said I would not be as hungry as usual since I was not expending many calories or energy. Good luck, Moe
Guest guest
I know a hotdog has 8 points. That would be a good choice or one slice of pizza. I know ballparks have pizza and hotdogs so I would go with either of those. Help please Tomorrow we are taking my dad to a car race and will be there for like 7 or 8 hours, you can't take food in but you can take water so I am set on that but does anyone have any suggestions on what you can eat at car races without completely losing all my points on one meal. Thanks
Guest guest
Depends where you go, but there might be some corn on the cob. That's always good. --- pwincess97267@... wrote: > Tomorrow we are taking my dad to a car race and will > be there for like 7 or > 8 hours, you can't take food in but you can take > water so I am set on that but > does anyone have any suggestions on what you can > eat at car races without > completely losing all my points on one meal. > > Thanks > > > > > [Non-text portions of this message have been > removed] > > Check out my website at http://www.kehinde.com. Guest guest
Hi everyone! I am new to weight watchers, but I HAVE to be serious this time because I have been told to lose weight or die by my doctor...so, I have to change my life...and I know your group will help me...you all seem so nice. Can I please ask a question? Can you tell me what the requirements for water, dairy and veggies you are suppose to have? I know that you have to check them off once you eat them...but how much? Also, can I use less points per day to lose weight faster, or is it required to eat all of the points? Thank you in advance. P.S. by the way, I need to lose 200 pounds
Guest guest
Hi and welcome to the group! You should always eat your points target, and even add in your 35 weekly points and any activity points. This should help give you an idea on the amounts. Muareen 8 Good Health Guidelines 1. Eat at least 5 servings for vegetables and fruits each day. 2. Choose whole-grain foods, such as brown rice and oats, whenever possible. 3. Include 2 servings of milk products (low-fat [1%] or fat-free) each day. If you are more than 50 years old or are a teenager, increase this amount to 3 servings each day. 4. Have some healthy oil (olive, canola, sunflower, safflower, or flaxseed) each day. This habit ensures that you get the essential fatty acids and vitamin E that your body needs. Use the oil on salads, in cooking, or as an ingredient in mixed dish. 5. Ensure that you are getting enough protein by choosing at least a serving or two of meat, pouldtry, fish, eggs, dried beans, or soy products each day. Many milk products are also good sources of protein. 6. Limit added sugar and alcohol. 7. Drink at least 6 glasses of water. 8. Take a multiple vitamin-mineral supplement each day. help please Hi everyone! Guest guest
I also wanted to welcome you to the group. I'm a newbie to this group, but not to WW, as I think this is my 1000th try (LOL!) I am just tired of messing around with the same 70 lbs. or so, so I'm definitely serious this time around too. I was going to suggest that you also look for a support group in addition to this one that might have people in it that need to lose over 100 lbs. It would help you connect with people that can you help you with specific challenges. I found one for over 50 lbs. via the WW site (I pay to belong to that) and it's been great to find people in my same situation. I have different challenges than say someone who only wanted to only lose 15 lbs. Just a suggestion....hey, since I'm new here, they might already have someone one who's already on this list that could be an inspiration to you. Good luck and welcome... Guest guest
Don't think of it as you need to lose 200 pounds.....Use your 10% goal as your goal...I have about 170 to lose and that is so overwhelming....so my 32 pounds looks a lot more doable so that is what I focus on!! Just a tip...when you have so much to lose it can get so discouraging. I don't think it would be harmful to eat a couple points less a day...but you want to do this in a healthy way...so that is why they have a point system...so be careful...make sure you eat all the foods you need to. Guest guest
Thank you! My plan for not eating all my points is not a reality yet. The last 2 days (yeah, I am really new to this) I used all 4 exercise points and 5 flex points too. Oh well. -- Re: help please Don't think of it as you need to lose 200 pounds.....Use your 10% goal as your goal...I have about 170 to lose and that is so overwhelming....so my 32 pounds looks a lot more doable so that is what I focus on!! Guest guest
If you do not eat all of your points, you will lose weight alot slower and plateau often. The daily points are the minimum your body needs to maximize fuel energy. I have 189 to lose, and have lost 60 of them in 8 months. We can ALL do this, hang in there with us. Blessings, Beckie Also, can I use less points per day to lose weight faster, or is it required to eat all of the points? Thank you in advance. Guest guest
Not eating all of your points will usually hinder your weight loss. I would always eat your daily points...now if you want to skimp on points consider not using your activity and/or flex points but always eat your daily points. We need calories/points to burn fat and make muscle so eat those daily points. Chancelee Woynowski lisamarykay1@...> wrote: Thank you! My plan for not eating all my points is not a reality yet.
