The IEP is supposed to provide what the child NEEDS period, not what the schools can conveniently give. This doesn't always happen, unfortunately. Even if they give him more, you still have the right to pursue any private therapies you wish. When the schools finally give my son the 2 hours per week of speech that they say will start soon I fully intend to continue with the two hours a week of private that he currently gets.
