Guest guest
P.S. Spell-checked mag/ox, it's Mag-Ox. What do doctors know? ;-) Lynn’s Transcription Service & Moonbug Studio Portraits, Pine-needle Baskets www.lynn.vancouvering.com
Guest guest
If this patient might have dementia, you might listen again to see if you're actually hearing Aricept. Allcept Hi all, Has anyone heard of a med called " Allcept " ? This is for a pt with hepatitis C, status post liver transplant, urinary incontinence, hypertension, hypothyroidism, diabetes mellitus type 2, and is just in the list of meds, along with cyclosporin, prednisone, Prilosec, oxybutynin 5 mg b.i.d., Levoxyl 137 mcg, Coumadin, Premarin 0.3 mg, nifedipine, atenolol, glipizide, mag/ox. I find nothing on the FDA website. Guest guest
No, she doesn't, and he spelled it out as a-l-l-c-e-p-t, for what that's worth. I tried with and without a hyphen, and drew blanks. Thanks for the suggestion though Jayni! Lynn Allcept Hi all, Has anyone heard of a med called " Allcept " ? Guest guest
This might be CellCept, which is used to help prevent organ rejection. Guest guest
My only other thought is CellCept, which would be expected, now that I see the patient is status post liver transplant, but if she spelled it (and I wish they wouldn't even attempt that, since it's clearly so difficult for them), I don't know what to tell you. Guest guest
CellCept! Thank you! I addressed the Mag-Ox myself, just hadn't done so before cutting and pasting into the e mail. Good thing I don't trust my spell checker. Guest guest
I thought about on my way into town today. If the patient wrote out a list of meds, a capital C followed by a small e would look like a cursive capital A, would it not? Since the doc is a GYN, he may not be familiar with that particular med, and was probably reading it off the handwritten list. Voila! CellCept becomes Allcept.
