Guest guest
Uh...is someone expecting you to report it in the paper? Having that in print might ruin his career. Georga Hackworth Men. Guest guest
Ummm, I don't think this one should be written about. His wife must be horribly hurt. Could it put you in the posistion to sued for libel or slander? Sue

My head is all clogged up and I am not thinking clearly today. Sue's answer is MUCH MUCH better. Mine is not.
Guest guest
Did it absolutely happen? Would you write it if any one else had committed this? I guess if you answer yes, then you can't really chose not to just because of who it involved. That would be biased and unfair. But if you chose to write, find a new doctor afterwards! Personally, I think everyone's sex lives should be private when it comes to matters like this. No one ever gets the whole true story anyway. Who's to say this man's wife didn't cut him off from sex 10 years ago and he finally had enough. Of course, he could just be a womanizing jerk too. Not defending his actions or anything, just reminding there's always more to the story. , trying to see the big picture lol > > > > > My kids' doc was caught by his wife -- screwing another woman on his > > desk. > > > > I am a gossip columnist. Guest guest
I'm going to answer all questions in one post. > Ummm, I don't think this one should be written about. His wife must be > horribly hurt. I'm sure she is. > Could it put you in the position to sued for libel or slander? Only if it isn't true. But it is true. > Uh...is someone expecting you to report it in the paper? Just EVERYBODY! Not " report " really. I write three news stories and two columns every week. One is an Op-ed column. The other is gossip. The sleazy gossip column attracts more advertising/fan mail/commentary/attention that the rest of the paper combined. I never have to pay a tab in this town because of that silly column. When I was pregnant with Boone, I made up every word of it -- for six months. I don't think anybody even knew it. > Having that in print might ruin his career. I doubt it. It might get more dads going to the ped with their kids though. LOL > Can you plead conflict of interest here with your kids and beg someone else to write an article? It doesn't matter who writes it. I am " Brittany " and he knows it. Even if I didn't use his name, he'd know I did it and he'd never forgive me. > Did it absolutely happen? Yes. >Would you write it if any one else had committed this? Yes. > I guess if you answer yes, then you can't really chose not to just because of who it involved. That would be biased and unfair. But if you chose to write, find a new doctor afterwards! I don't care if it's biased and unfair. I'm not going to write about it. > Who's to say this man's wife didn't cut him off from sex 10 years ago and he finally had enough. He's only 35 and they have a brand new baby. > Of course, he could just be a womanizing jerk too. That would be closer to the truth. He's an incorrigible flirt too. > Well, I'd guess gossip writing isn't the same as hard news writing in terms of story selection -- can't you just choose not to write this one??? Yep. And that's what I'm going to do -- at the risk of pissing off some of my best sources. They'll just have to understand. Guest guest
I can't imagine what I'd do. Maybe you could print without names? Like those Hollywood gossip columnists do: " A certain well-know physician was caught playing doctor without an appointment " Or could you get away with not reporting it all? I can and that's what I'm going to do. I talked to him this a.m. He confessed everything, said he and his wife were in counseling and he's broken off the affair. The classic story, wife doesn't want to talk about issues, doesn't understand him, etc. He also said, " I knew I'd " get this phone call from you one day. " I told him he had nothing to worry about.
