Guest guest
My boys have to get paint sample strips everytime we go to a store that has them! Sue

" I am under too much stress in the grocery store so it is hard for me to make my body do what I tell it to " )? I guess I always feel that when a basically good kid is being a pill, there's a reason...and it's not usually the thrill of being in charge...most kids WANT their parents to be the boss, because they feel safer that way. I would look at what his behavior is telling you about what he needs...and yeah, that can be incredibly frustrating. Raena (who could be dead wrong...) Guest guest
I agree with Raena. As usual. Do you know, I remember I used to HATE shopping with my mom because it made my feet hurt so bad? Jacquie, ypu're a great mom, & you know when is able to control his actions and when he isn't. Manipulation or reaction? The answer lies in intent, IMO. -Sara. Guest guest
It all began with waking up to find standing over me yelling, " I dont' have any pants left! I only have button pants! " Translation: all his track pants are in the laundry and we still haven't mastered peeing in buttoned pants. So I told him to put on a sweatshirt and his pajama bottoms, and I'd do laundry. We have no food in the fridge. will not go grocery shopping because his " legs get tired " . Marc is still asleep at noon, having worked I-don't-know-how-much-overtime last night -- I only know I stayed up til 2am waiting for him and he still wasn't home. My computer is having tantrums. MAJOR tantrums. there's something wrong with the power pack or power centre -- whatever the power cord plugs into inside the tower. This is, apparently, a serious problem. Three times a day I have to reset it in order to make it unfreeze and boot up. This is dangerous electronically and electrically. has fallen in love with the book of paint chips I borrowed from the hardware store. He is obsessing over about 1500 colours. Just another fun-filled weekend! Oh - and it's my mom's birthday and I forgot to wish her happy birthday when I talked to her this morning. :-( Jacquie
Guest guest
Jacquie, I don't see it as a manipulation thing either. But then I'm comparing it to how my kids function. Sue
