Guest guest
I think I have the right stuff. It says 400 IU High Gamma E. On the label it says " Vitamin E (as d-Alpha Tocopherol) 400 I.U. Other mixed Tocopherols 80 mg Gamma Tocopherol 60 mg Delta & Beta Tocopherols 20 mg " Does that sound right? Guest guest
Actually that sounds fine. The High gamma threw me off...usually those are gamma preparations with a little alpha thrown in. > > I think I have the right stuff. It says 400 IU High Gamma E. Guest guest
I got to the store and was confused by the words alpha, gamma, beta and even Delta listed on the label! I bought Nature's Bounty Water Soluble E 400IU with dl-Alpha and Natural d-Alpha at Albertson's. On the back it reads: Vitamin E 400IU (as dl-alpha Tocopheryl Acetate and d-Alpha Tocopheryl plus d-beta, d-gamma, and d-Delta Tocopherols) It also has Chlorophyllin 0.025mg This is what the pharmacist recommended after I told him I was looking for Vitamin E with 400IU of alpha and I needed 200-300mg gamma. > > I think I have the right stuff. Guest guest
You bought the synthetic type of E since it says " dl " alpha which is the wrong one -you want the " d " alpha which is the natural one. See if you can return it -I returned mine when I bought the wrong one (to Target...OK so it wasn't some fancy health food store which why it wasn't natural...but they did take it back!) Buy it next time at a health food store and ask someone that works in the store to help you if you are confused. They are used to confused people in health food stores and most of the time they look happy to help since they just sit around waiting for confused people to come in. I went to Vitamin World and had three people ask me if I needed any help! Don't know if they work on commission or what - but it was great service! You can get an alpha gamma blend...just again make sure it's natural and not synthetic. What I got '100% natural High Gamma Tocopherol " from Vitamin World in our mall -and yes that contains the d alph vitamin E too. The one I had (the only gamma vitamin world carried) is 200 IU of vitamin E alpha and 200 mg of the gamma. I give Tanner 2 a day right now. " http://www.vitaminworld.com/pages/Categories.asp?xs= & CID=69 (scroll down -there are other Es on the page) On the site and at the mall it's buy one get one 1/2 price -so I got two of the larger bottles -it's the best value. The dosage of this brand is low -which is why I give Tanner the two. (not that you have to get this one...just an example) Best! =====
