Guest guest
you can do that? Jacquie h #1 sign you're stressed on a shopping trip with your kid... ...at the end of the trip (2 stores) you stop at the pharmacy counter, ask for tylenol with codeine, and swig a handful down with a bottle of water grabbed from the cooler while you wait in line to pay. <sigh> Jacquie -whose son is exhibiting a LOT of regressive behaviour, probably as a result of the emotional breakthroughs. Get tylenol with codeine without a prescription? Codeine is a script-only med here. Not sure if it's a controlled substance or not...I don't think it is, because I didn't have to show my driver's liscence to get my cough syrup... -Sara. who hopes your day got/is better!!! What's the difference? Tylenol is just acetomenaphine here. I think tylenol 3 is with codeine & it is script
Guest guest
i live in the wrong country.........jacquie, is it true that you don't have to pay for healthcare there? we pay out 200 a month for family coverage (is that right tracy? about 200??) Guest guest
> you can do that? Do what? Take the tylenol one, or take it before I've paid for it? I CAN take it -- it's the only over-the-counter pain relief left to me (with or without codeine). And I am a frequent flyer at the pharmacy, so I take liberties. :-) Jacquie

You can buy these off the shelf. Tylenol 1, or store brand aceteminophen with codeine, is available from behind the pharmacy counter without a prescription, but you need to ask for it. Tylenol 2 and 3 have more codeine in them than Tylenol 1. You need prescriptions for those, and they only differ in the mgs of codeine. Well, we do -- with our taxes. Ontario sales taxes alone are 15%. BUT... -I need to book my doctor's appointments a month in advance because of a doctor shortage -the nearest ER to us closes at 10pm every night because it doesn't have enough funding to pay enough doctors to staff it 24/7, so we have to drive at least half an hour to be seen in emerg if we need it. -when my tibia and fibula were both broken in half, the EMTs had to stop at a softball game and tend a case of heat exhaustion while I waited in the back of the ambulance, because there aren't enough ambulances or EMTs -my family doc referred me to a gyn back in the summer -- I saw him two weeks ago -forget seeing a specialist in any kind of timely fashion -services for kids like are on a consultant-only basis; after the kid is 5, they no longer fund therapy So, we pay nothing for health care -- but you get what you pay for.
