Guest guest
Hi everyone, Does anyone know if Edix will hire M-TEC graduates? I tried emailing the recruiter, but s/he hasn't responded. Their website says they will hire with experience. I was just wondering if they were one of the companies that waives the experience requirement for the Premier graduates. Thanks, Patrice M-TEC Session
Guest guest
I have a relative who was hired by EDiX with NO experience, right out of school and has been with them many years. Guest guest
As far as I know, their policy has always been that they require 3 years of experience, although recently they have allowed 1 year experience for clinic-type work. They do have a relationship with at least one training program from whom they hire. But, again, it's hard to say what programs, benefits, requirements, etc., will remain in place or be changed drastically once the takeover is complete. Guest guest
I'm sure they will because I know of several recent Career Step grads who have been hired. Guest guest
Really?? This surprises me. Their ads in Advance magazine always said experience was required as I mentioned before... 3 years for acute care and 1 year for clinic work. They also have a refer a friend plan for their present employees and we are encouraged to " recommend your friends. " No mention has ever been made of a change in the policy as I've mentioned, and of course, the referring MT gets nothing unless the person is hired and stays a specified period of time. Perhaps they do it on a case by case basis. Jan jantranscribes@... " Typing is my life. " " Whoever signs the paycheck makes the rules. Their requirements for experience -- like their pay scale and benefits package -- tend to fluctuate considerably. I've seen ads stating no less than 3 years, then 2 years, then 1 year ... and then they also have at least one program for fresh-out-of-school trainees. -- Chuck Mattsen mattsen@... http://www.mindspring.com/~mattsen/mtsearch.htm Random thought for this message: If you say nothing, no one will repeat it. Guest guest
Their pay scale and benefits have not really changed that much since I've been with them, but I would imagine their experience requirements probably change depending on how badly they need MTs and, of course, the wishes of the respective accounts. Guest guest
> Their pay scale and benefits have not really changed that much since > I've been with them... Yakiddinme? Everyone who does ER work took a pay cut. The benefits package itself hasn't changed all that much, but what you have to do to remain qualified for it (or be dropped entirely for a year) has changed. Anyway, don't get me started, 'cuz I could go on and on. :-) Suffice it to say I'm doing IC work now and have regained both my love of MT work and my soul, both of which were absent for a couple of years there. Done now.
Guest guest
I wasn't aware of a pay cut for ER work, probably because I don't do ER or clinic work, I do acute care. But, then again, not everyone will be happy in the same job.. that's a fact of life, the same as some people like chocolate ice cream and some people like vanilla You said you could go on, so if you would like to do that, email me privately Jan jantranscribes@...
