Guest guest
Hi Elaine. I also have allergies and acid reflux. My esophagus wasn't formed correctly and even after surgery, it can't be fixed. I find Maalox liquid to be the quickest aid. (Don't take it with your pills, though.) Modern research has found that a bacteria is often the culprit in stomach ulcers, rather than stress. This bacteria is called h.pylori. The infection can spread to your lungs and also do arterial damage around your heart. You might ask your doctor to find out if you have an h.pylori infection in your stomach. Beware also that this bacteria can colonize on your teeth. So it is not just enough to take antibiotics against it. To kill them in your mouth, you need a prescription mouthwash that is antibiotic. Then continue afterwards to regularly use a mouthwash with peroxide such as Metadent. ---Jan in Ohio
