This is a noncompliant patient with a PICC line who discontinued her antibiotics

on her own. The dictation is clear, but I can't document peak (or peek) trough

anywhere. Has anyone heard this before?

" We will get her re-implemented on her vancomycin peak troughs today with

explicit instructions to the hospital that she is not to stop the antibiotics

until......... "

Thank you, thank you. That's got to be what he means. It's amazing what the

difference of that one little word does on a Google search. Do you know if

this can be found in a reference somewhere? Had success with Google, but I

still can't find it in my references.

I did find it in Stedman's Dermatology and Immunology Words, but I've

used it in a lot of different reports, especially neurology with

epileptics.

Thank you again. It just makes me feel better to know it's in a real MT

reference somewhere. :-) I wonder why it's not in Stedman's Path or IM books.

That's one that I'm going to put in my notebook.
