Guest guest
This is a noncompliant patient with a PICC line who discontinued her antibiotics on her own. The dictation is clear, but I can't document peak (or peek) trough anywhere. Has anyone heard this before? " We will get her re-implemented on her vancomycin peak troughs today with explicit instructions to the hospital that she is not to stop the antibiotics until......... Guest guest
Thank you, thank you. That's got to be what he means. It's amazing what the difference of that one little word does on a Google search. Do you know if this can be found in a reference somewhere? Had success with Google, but I still can't find it in my references. Dawn Chartrand Ortho, IM - 2 years M-TEC Student How about peak and trough? Guest guest
I did find it in Stedman's Dermatology and Immunology Words, but I've used it in a lot of different reports, especially neurology with epileptics. Guest guest
Thank you again. It just makes me feel better to know it's in a real MT reference somewhere. :-) I wonder why it's not in Stedman's Path or IM books. That's one that I'm going to put in my notebook.
