Guest guest
Wendi- We are taking a trip to the natural food store. I am certain that this store has natural Es (tocopherols) that have been discussed here. I will post the brand name this evening sometime. Can someone please tell me how to shop for the Vitamin E that Cludia talks of in her post about ph's progress? It is very confusing to me when I started looking online for a natural Vit E. Please let me know which one to order. Do I get the one with gamma and alpha? I know there are ones that have both and then there are ones that combine them in one capsule. Please help me out here. I want to order them and get started as soon as possible. Thanks Wendi

Guest guest
Wendi- I went to our local natural food store (a grocery store for natural foods and supplements) and bought the vitamin e. Although there were several brands to choose from, I ended up getting the store's private label brand, " 100% natural Vitamin E 400 IU, plus mixed tocopherols. " It listed " d-alpha tocopherol from soy " as the main ingredient, in a base of d-beta, d-gamma and d-delta tocopherols. I think that this meets the " guidelines " mentioned here. It seems to me that the most important things are to get natural d-alpha vitamin e and to make sure that you are adding d-gamma somehow, whether it is included in the same supplement or added via a different d-gamma supplement. The store I went to, believe it or not, was out of the only d-gamma brand that it carried. I hope that helps somewhat. Guest guest
Spend some time in the vitamin isle at a good health food store. If they know there stuff, someone may actually be able to tell you the difference in their products. But alpha -d-tocopherol is typically available as a gel cap (can be chewed by little ones), and gamma is available alone, or is in combo with the alpha. From talking to vit E experts - alpha is most important, but gamma may also help. If you can't find gamma, just start with 400 IU of alpha-d-tocophorol and see what happens. Hopefully we will have more info in the next few weeks, but really not until a clinical trial is done will there be any science to this. - > Can someone please tell me how to shop for the Vitamin E that Cludia > talks of in her post about ph's progress? Guest guest
> Brand name doesn't really matter as long as it is a reputable vitamin distributer. Just look for alpha-d-tocophorol, NOT alpha- " dl " tocophorol - which is the synthetic form. Its available at longs drug, rite aid, most drug stores, and health food stores in more varieties. > Wendi- > > We are taking a trip to the natural food store.
