WOAH! My legs are KILLING me today! Actually, it is mainly my hips.

We walked the 5 miles in 3 hours. That isn't so bad when we had a 14 yo,

13dd, 8dd, myself & dh! We stopped at 3 of the rest stops to use the Port a

Potties... I feel really good for having not taken any of the cheat cuts...

even backtracked a little when I realized that everyone else was cutting it

short & went the TRUE way through... people after us corrected also... so it

was a GOOD thing! So, we did the TRUE 5 miles.

13dd best friend went with us & LOVED it... she didn't think she would enjoy

it... but she asked if she can come next year too!

I had SO many NSVs on this, I am just going to share the MAIN ones...

BIGGEST was that my lower back did not hurt at ALL! WOO HOO... in 2003, the

last time we walked, I was having to stop every 1/2 mile after the first 1

1/2 miles to stand against a pole or something because my back hurt so much

I was crying! This time I did the ENTIRE 5 miles without sitting or leaning

against anything... NEXT BIGGEST was that we did not take ANY shortcuts...

this is the FIRST time we have done that with this being the 4th time we

have done the walk. LAST BIGGEST I didn't get grouchy during the walk! The

girls & I even did the Chicken Dance, YMCA & two-stepped after we ate lunch!

LOL It was a TON of fun... thinking of looking for another walk to do

sometime soon!
