Guest guest
For the life of me, I cannot remember what one of those is! We take only 2 and 3-day weekends as often as we can all year. No week-long trips for us. I miss it but the mess it creates with my business is not worth it. We did buy a 5th wheel a few years ago and we really rough it with AC, microwave, satellite TV, etc.! That is my kind of camping. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Guest guest
, how do you get satellite TV with an RV? Who are you with? Surely not DirecTV? Guest guest
No, Dish Network. We have an extra one we keep in the trailer and just take our receiver along - easy to find the satellite and set up - real spoiled! Most of the time I would prefer a book, but hubby likes the TV.I do know of others who have Direct TV and take it along too. We camp year round here in Oregon, and I actually enjoy a peaceful rainy day away from it all even more than I do in the summer. We are planning a 4-day coast trip for New Year's for whale watching and rest. vacation > > > > For the life of me, I cannot remember what one of those is! > > > > We take only 2 and 3-day weekends as often as we can all year. Guest guest
Our 6YO DD and 3 YO DS are off visiting my parents. They left Sunday and are coming back Friday. Most couples with a week w/o young kids would like to plan something romantic or fun. What are we doing? PAINTING THE LIVING ROOM. And as an added bonus, I am cleaning the carpets. Whoo hoo. Granted, it is easier to paint without the kids " helping, " but so far it hasn't been a whole lot of fun. My husband was complaining because he couldn't tell where he had painted on the ceiling (white on white). And he has been having trouble patching the cracks in the drywall. And me? I fell off the stupid ladder, twisting my ankle on the way down and landing on my shoulder, whacking my wrist on a piece of furniture. So here I am, sore shoulder and sore wrist, and we still have to paint the walls! LOL. So much for a romantic week without the kids!!! Guest guest
What is a week without kids? Our daughter is grown but lives next door with 3 children - we are never alone unless we go away! Actually, I would not have it any other way. RE: vacation > > Our 6YO DD and 3 YO DS are off visiting my parents. They left Sunday and > are coming back Friday. Guest guest
This is their first extended time away from us, other than overnight visits. My parents live two hours away, so this gives them some time with the kids. We definitely miss them, but there is no way we would be able to paint with them here! LOL. Guest guest
My husband had it in his over-the-road tractor trailer! He had Dish, but you can get DirecTV too... you just take your dish down while travelling, and then pop it up when you get there!
